 Adult Choir

We are very proud of our Adult Choir of approximately fifteen singers, volunteers and section leaders. The Choir plays an important part in the life of the Church of the Mediator, participating in over 40 services each year, singing anthems in each service and leading the congregation in the singing of hymns, Psalms and service music. Our choir library is extensive and includes masterworks from several centuries of music literature.

The Choir welcomes new members in all voice classifications who love to sing the great music of the church, enjoy singing in parts with others and the challenge of learning new music. A solo quality voice or professional singing background is not required; but an attractive voice, the ability to read music on a basic level, and the ability to learn new music reasonably quickly are highly desirable.

Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7:15, September though May. If you are interested in becoming a member of the choir, please contact me at cmiller@episcopalmediator.org or at 610 434-0155.

Chancel Opera

We continue our chancel opera/children's choir with rehearsals prior to each performance.   Rehearsals will be set up based on when the most children can attend and will be held sometimes at Susan Bingham’s house in West Allentown and sometimes at the church.

We would love to have a large number of children sign up, so if any of you has a friend, school mate or neighbor who might like to join, let us know. We meet for about one hour each time, and if there is enough interest, we will have the children take part not only in the performing of the piece but also in the writing of it, as we have done in the past.

Any parent who might be interested in helping with rehearsals (crowd control, stage direction), costumes, publicity — let us know.  We will run rehearsals in chunks, so if you want to commit for rehearsals for one performance, that is fine.
