Unbinding the Gospel
Unbinding the Gospel is an invitation to learn about how mainline churches can do effective evangelism. Based on a Lilly Endowment study, by the author, Martha Grace Reese, of what works for churches, the book invites people into prayer, engagement with the Scripture, stories of people in churches like ours, and ideas about how we can better share our faith. The book includes discussion questions, individual and group exercises, and a 40-day prayer journal. Maria Tjeltveit will facilitate the small group study. Please call the office to register; pick up a book and read the first two chapters before the first session, which will begin Thursday, January 7, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the library. The classes will run through February 18.
Coming in Lent: Hosanna: A Spiritual Journey Through Holy Week, a five-week study of how Paul and the four gospels tell of Jesus' last week, death, and resurrection.
